The Accounting Specialist is responsible for recording and maintaining financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts,
and payments. This role includes updating the general ledger and generating financial statements to support business operations and decision-making, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting regulations. The Accounting Specialist will collaborate with various departments to support business objectives and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports. Ensuring all reports are accurate, timely, and comply with accounting standards and regulations.
General Ledger: Ensuring accuracy of general ledger accounts by entering and reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and managing month-end and year-end closing processes.
Internal Controls and Compliance: Implementing and maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and other relevant accounting regulations.
Budgeting and Forecasting Support: Assisting in the preparation and review of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections. Provide analytical support to management for decision-making.
Audit Coordination: Assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements within the accounting department and implementing best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required. Bookkeeping certification or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Three (3) years or more of accounting experience preferred. Past experience in logistics preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work in an office environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
