Role description: Arcadis is seeking an experienced Civil/Environmental Engineer to support an expanding portfolio of Energy Transition projects in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions of the United States with a focus on Virginia. This position would encompass multiple sectors, including oil and gas, renewable energies, linear utilities, and rail and transit. Tasks may include site layouts, grading, hydraulic modeling, utility design, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control design. You will have the ability to think in an innovative and entrepreneurial manner to deliver the very best solutions to our clients. The position will require a candidate to work collaboratively with a diverse team and have the capacity to balance varying priorities. While the location of this position is flexible, and remote work opportunities are available, the ideal candidate would be located near one of the following cities: Lexington or Louisville, Kentucky; Hanover, Maryland; Buffalo, Syracuse, or Albany, New York; Pittsburgh, or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Richmond or Virginia Beach, Virginia. Arcadis offers a flexible working environment and follows a hybrid work structure. A successful candidate can expect to work remotely, from the office, or in the field, as needed, based on demands of project and client teams. Position could include up to 25% travel.
