Job Description

Commercial Roofing Estimator
Location: Dallas, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $70,000–$90,000 per year + profit sharing

About the Role:

A well-established commercial contractor in Texas is looking for a Senior Estimator to join their Dallas-based team. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where your experience and technical expertise will be valued every step of the way.

You'll take ownership of the full estimating process—from field assessments to scope definition, pricing, proposals, and client meetings. This company has built a strong reputation for high-quality work, humility over ego, and a team-first culture where professionals are trusted to lead and supported in their growth.
If you’re a self-starter who takes pride in accuracy, relationship-building, and delivering projects that align with client goals—this is a role where you can make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the main point of contact for estimating commercial roofing projects
  • Lead and produce detailed estimates using onscreen takeoffs and field inspections
  • Write and present proposals, participate in scope reviews and negotiations
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, consultants, and internal teams throughout the preconstruction process
  • Mentor junior estimators (PE-I level) and assist them with bid preparation
  • Conduct independent field inspections and site evaluations
  • Run hand-off meetings with the operations team
  • Participate in client education and lead pre-bid or proposal meetings
  • Stay involved in industry associations and represent the company on relevant committees
What You Bring:
  • Four-year degree preferred OR minimum of 5 years of construction experience with at least 2 years in estimating
  • Strong understanding of new construction and remedial work including codes, wind uplift, moisture control, and roofing materials
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to read and interpret architectural drawings, specs, and construction documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable managing 3–5 estimates per week
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work legally in the United States
  • Physically able to climb ladders, scaffolding, stairs, and access job sites
Why Join This Team:
  • Base salary of $70,000–$90,000
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities (total comp potential over $110,000)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Company vehicle or allowance (if applicable)
  • Strong internal support and promotion-from-within culture
  • Long-term growth opportunities with a respected market leader
