About the Role & Program
The ESPN Sports Marketing team is a centralized group of strategic brand & content marketers, leading the overall campaign & media strategy, spending, budgeting and fan engagement, across brands, events, platforms and shows. As par t of the team, you will assist in driving fan engagement on platforms such as ESPN and the ESPN App, among many others! The program dates for this role are September 22nd through December 12, 2025.
As a Sports Marketing Intern, you will report to a n Associate Director and collaborate with various departments and stakeholders across the organization including the creative, research, and programming teams to help drive cross department learnings and uncover opportunities.
What You Will Do
Support the planning, execution , and implementation of various sports marketing strategies and campaigns across the entire NFL on ESPN portfolio , including Monday Night Football
Observe and support th e NFL on ESPN across both broadcast and streaming platform
Support marketing and experiential planning efforts for N FL and Disney cross promotional opportunities
Conduct research of industry trends and support the team with project managemen t, ensuring deadlines are met
Required Qualifications & Skills
E xperience in Sports Marketing with basic knowledge of marketing principles
Strong writing and communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Proactive and organized self-starter with outstanding interpersonal skills, able to handle multiple projects
An eagerness to think outside of the box and innovate within strategy
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Fundamental understanding of the ESPN NFL portfolio, and the direct-to-consumer sports landscape
NFL knowledge including both a fan and business perspective
Genuine interest of the latest trends, cultural n ews and content (music, fashion e tc. ) and understanding of opportunities within the social media landscape
Appreciation for new technologies and unique storytelling
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in Marketing, Communications, Sports Media or related major preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available from September 22nd through December 12, 2025 for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York City area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
