Seeking an experienced outside sales representative responsible for calling on, by phone or in person, prospective new customers as well as nurturing existing customers to secure existing sales and gain additional sales. Demonstrate ambition to go, leading to a growth in sales, through account contacts in person and over the phone. Pursue business initiatives to build growth.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains a clean, professional environment.
- Presents new Ford purchase or incentives programs to customers (i.e., presentations, flyers, answers questions, etc.).
- Maintains high ethical standards in daily activities.
- Visit current customers to maintain relationships, thank them for their business while also ensuring there are no complaints.
- Visit and search for new/potential customers to establish and communicate our offerings. Gain insight on potential customer needs and how to handle them.
- Helps develop special promotions specific to dealership and presents them to the customers.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
* Communicates with Parts Manager, Assistant Parts Manager, and Wholesale employees to inform them of how the current customer and prospective customer visit unfolded.

- Builds productive working relationships both within and across departments through clear communications using different forms (e.g., department meeting, daily information meetings, with boards, etc.)

* Resolves all wholesale customer concerns in a prompt and effective manner.
Responsible for other duties as assigned and/or required by business need.
Handling Pressure
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Solicits, encourages, and implements innovative methods/ideas to improve service and performance.
- Makes cold calls to Wholesale customers to sell parts department.
- Strives to resolve Wholesale customer issues.
Managing Business Complexity
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews sales history/trend of current customers to look for noticeable changes.
- Establishes processes and standards to ensure customer satisfaction leading to efficient and effective operations.
- Reviews sales reports to monitor amount of business and stay on top of return percentages; based on review visit customers to see the reason for the decline in business or increase in returns.

* Talks to Parts Manager about Wholesale customer problems.
Applying the Basics
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Applies information found in manuals, publications, and other documents.
- Calls on prospective customers
- Utilizes new systems or processes implemented by Ford or the dealership.
- Maintains proficiency in use of in-house computer systems.
Understanding and Using Business Knowledge

- Applies retailing techniques to sell parts and accessories.
- Keeps up to date on industry specific information.
- Develops business strategies to ensure a strategic marketing advantage.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education, training and/or state/national certifications should clearly demonstrate the possession of the knowledge and skills stated above.
- Minimum of High School degree or equivalent
- Driver’s license
EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years in an automotive Parts Department preferred
- Outside business to business sales experience preferred
- 2 years person-to-person contacts
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer savvy
- Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbing
- Utilizing physical and manual dexterity
- Driving a vehicle
- Using equipment consistent with industry standards
