Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Job description:

Note:  This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at our client’s Washington, DC office.

Note:  The qualified candidate for this position must have an active Maryland law license and 5+ years of family law experience.

Job Description

  • Lead complex family law cases including divorce, custody, child support, property division, and domestic violence matters
  • Manage caseload independently from intake to resolution
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
  • Represent clients in hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations
  • Provide strategic advice and compassionate client service
  • Mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys and colleagues
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the family law practice

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Maryland (required)
  • DC Bar admission preferred or ability to waive in
  • 5+ years of family law experience with litigation and trial exposure
  • Strong legal writing, negotiation, and courtroom skills
  • Proven ability to develop case strategies and deliver excellent client service
  • Leadership skills with interest in mentoring junior attorneys
