Job Description

Rincon Consultants is seeking a creative and motivated **Senior Graphic Designer** who's ready to take the next exciting step in their career. As a key member of our award-winning Marketing and Communications team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and executing visually compelling design solutions that align with our brand identity and support our business goals. The ideal candidate brings professional experience in graphic design and branding, along with a portfolio that demonstrates innovative design thinking, strong visual storytelling, and creative problem-solving. Key qualities for success in this role include collaboration, positivity, and clear communication. You'll partner closely with teams across the firm including marketing, communications, internal service lines, and technical departments-ensuring they receive high-quality, on-brand design support that elevates their message and impact. Additionally, to promote in-person collaboration and client teaming, we prioritize hiring individuals who reside within 50 miles of a Rincon office, which currently includes: Carlsbad, Fresno, Los Angeles, Monterey, Oakland, Palm Springs, Riverside, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, San Diego, San Jose, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. **Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:** + Design visually compelling materials for both print and digital media, including marketing proposals, infographics, reports, presentations, newsletters, conference assets, and other marketing collateral + Develop visual elements such as logos, layouts, illustrations, and multimedia content, ensuring consistency across all materials + Develop and utilize marketing tools such as branded templates and assets to increase efficiency when necessary + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and target audience + Translate design requests into impactful visual solutions that adhere to brand guidelines and business objectives + Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, while adhering to established timelines + Use design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to create and edit visual content, and stay updated on the latest design trends and tools + Remain informed about advancements in graphic design and AI technology **Qualifications we are seeking:** + Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field + 8+ years of experience designing in a business environment supporting internal clients + Experience in the AEC (Architecture/Environmental/Engineering/Construction) industry preferred + Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), as well as Microsoft 365 + Strong understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy + Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Rincon Consultants is an award-winning leader in providing quality environmental consulting services throughout California and is recognized as a 'Best Environmental Services Firm to Work For' by the Zweig Group. We partner with clients in sectors such as transportation, energy and infrastructure, sustainability, climate change, oil and gas, water, commercial, private development, and government. The base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000-$90,000, plus benefits and bonus. At Rincon, our salary ranges are based on market median of similar jobs, according to third party salary benchmark surveys. The base pay that is actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
