Description We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our team in Sacramento, California. This is a Contract-to-permanent position within the non-profit sector, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on organizational success through effective HR practices. The role requires a strong background in employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration. Responsibilities: - Manage day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. - Administer benefits programs, ensuring accurate enrollment, updates, and communication with employees. - Oversee leave management processes, including FMLA and other statutory requirements. - Utilize ADP Workforce Now to maintain and manage employee records, payroll, and reporting. - Provide guidance to managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. - Facilitate training sessions and workshops to promote skill development and organizational growth. - Collaborate with leadership to address workforce planning and organizational development needs. - Handle conflict resolution and disciplinary actions in a fair and consistent manner. - Support recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews, onboarding, and new employee orientations. Requirements - Proven experience as an HR Generalist, with a strong understanding of HR functions and processes. - Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now for payroll and HR data management. - Extensive knowledge of benefits administration and compliance requirements. - Familiarity with FMLA and other leave management policies. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees at all levels. - Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. - In-depth understanding of employment laws and regulations.
