Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to support our culinary operations at UTMB Hospital located in Galveston, TX . As the second-in-command in the kitchen, the Sous Chef plays a key leadership role in supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and ensuring the efficient and creative preparation of meals. This is a hands-on position ideal for a team-oriented culinary professional who thrives in a high-paced, dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

• be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
• ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
• have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
• ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
• have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
