We are seeking a detail-oriented Treasury Specialist & Tax Coordinator to manage cash activities and tax/state filings, ensuring compliance with government agencies. In this role, you will be responsible for managing ACH transactions, cash deposits, wire transfers, reconciliations, withholdings, unemployment processes, and tax-related activities, including state taxes. This position requires a high level of accuracy, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. This 6 month contract to hire, on-site position (Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 6 PM) reports directly to the Director of Accounting. Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage bank account balances and optimize investment options.
Review bank fraud filters and escalate actions as needed.
Manage credit card distribution and controls.
Deposit checks and reconcile merchant service reports.
Process wire & ACH transactions, including review, initiation, and fraud deterrent practices.
Execute non-bank platform electronic payments (ACH, credit cards).
Print checks for signature and import data for positive pay.
Review and reconcile credit card transactions.
Assist with setup of new bank, credit card, and warehouse accounts.
Handle federal, corporate, and state tax filings and payments.
Coordinate annual audits and maintain records.
Produce and distribute 1096, 1098, and 1099 forms.
Conduct annual escheatment process.
Assist with financial period close and annual audit/tax filings.
Identify and report process improvements.
Respond to customer and employee inquiries.

Skills and Requirements
Must Haves:
Minimum two years of treasury and/or audit & tax coordination experience; three years preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Accounting or Finance).
Prior mortgage accounting experience preferred.
Familiarity with LoanVision, LendingPad, and First Citizens Bank platforms preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong mathematical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office products.
Team-oriented, yet able to work independently.
Committed work ethic and dependability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and organization.
