Introducing our Receptionist role at Child Start! As the essential first point of contact, you'll greet the public with a friendly demeanor, manage incoming calls, and provide accurate information about our services. Your role includes handling inquiries, directing questions related to Child Start, and ensuring seamless communication.
You will also have the responsibility of handling incoming checks, completing essential clerical and data entry duties, providing support to the Human Resources department, and acting as the main point of contact for all front desk operations. In addition, it will be your duty to ensure the building is secured on a daily basis, creating a safe and productive environment for everyone.

Ensuring that the building is opened/closed during the scheduled operating business hours from Monday to Friday.
Promptly and politely answering all incoming calls and transferring them to the appropriate staff.
Greeting and welcoming individuals entering the lobby entrance of the central office and guiding them to the correct staff.
Managing walk-in traffic in the lobby, including receiving and directing deliveries.
Taking complete and accurate verbal and written messages and delivering them to the appropriate staff either in person, through voicemail, or via mailbox or email.
Referring questions about Child Start and other related community resource agencies to the appropriate staff.
Arranging fax transmissions and distributing incoming messages.
High school diploma or general equivalency education.
Requires one year of receptionist/general office/customer service experience and Microsoft Office.
Effectively, respectfully, tactfully, and patiently communicate with staff, business community and parents.
Ability to effectively perform as a receptionist in a busy office with multiple phone lines and a large volume of in-person contact.
Proficient using Microsoft Office, including creating and editing documents, and spreadsheets.
Ability to complete projects in a timely manner and able to multi-task
Attention to detail.
Bilingual required (Spanish/English)
Child Start's On-Call Receptionist position is $15.75/hour, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
